Antoine Tabarin has held the position of Professor of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases at the University of Bordeaux, France since 1993. He is currently Head of the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition at the University Hospital of Bordeaux, and also works in an INSERM Research Unit (U862) at the Neurocenter Magendie of Bordeaux.
Professor Tabarin is president of the Group for the Study of Endocrine Tumors (GTE), member of the executive committee of the European Network for the Study of Cushing’s Syndrome (ERCUSYN), elected member of the executive committee of the International Society for Endocrinology (ISE), and also serves as Editor for the European Journal of Endocrinology. His research interests are in neuroendocrinology and endocrine tumours with a specific focus on adrenal tumours and diseases of the hypothalamo-pituitary-adrenal axis. Professor Tabarin is co-author of the 2015 guidelines of the Endocrine Society (USA) for the Treatment of Cushing’s Syndrome and the 2016 guideline of the European society for endocrinology (ESE) for adrenal incidentalomas.
