Cecilia is a nurse and a researcher at the Department of Endocrinology, Skåne University Hospital in Lund and at the Institution of Clinical Sciences, Lund University, Sweden. She received a Nursing degree in 1995 and a Ph.D. in medical science at Lund University in 2010. Cecilia´s current research focuses on late complications after childhood cancer and craniopharyngeoma and acromegaly. She has experience in quantitative as well as qualitative research and has authored numerous of peer-reviewed articles. Cecilia works for raising the profile of Endocrine Nursing in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland and she is the initiator and the chair of the Nordic Network for Endocrine Nurses. Cecilia has a leading role in implementing a National Health Care program for childhood leukemia survivors with pituitary insufficiency at six large University Hospitals in Sweden. She is an European representative of the Endocrine Society Task Force to develop clinical practice guidelines on the topic, Endocrine Consequences in Childhood Cancers. She is also a member of the international guidelines harmonization group of childhood cancer survivors with pituitary insufficiency (a multidisciplinary international network of professionals and survivors with the aim to ensure that every survivor of childhood cancer receives optimal long‐term care). Cecilia is a member of the acromegaly advisory board within the Advanced Nursing Community Scientific Committees.
